Since the Comedy Hypnosis show is a week away we spent a good deal of time discussing the event. Flyers have been made and posted at West and given to East to put up. A few students called Middle School principals and we have permission to get flyers to teachers in those buildings. We will be doing our best to get the copies made ASAP. The video in the commons is great and at Safe Halloween we made sure it was playing and added a sign that addressed parents stating that this is a "family fun night!" We will also be sending an email out to faculty to try to encourage them to go. The committee decided that we would not print tickets since there are no advanced ticket sales. We will use a stamp at the door. Next Friday after school we will schedule tasks for people to do the night of the show (door, concessions, information table, etc.) Between now and then please feel free to make display boards for information tables and/or pamphlets. Communicate via the blog so we don't have 10 of the same thing!
The Darfur Rally scheduled for December 1st at East is proceeding. Some speakers have been contacted and a flyer has been made. After the hypnosis show we will start helping to hype this event.
We also watched a 10 minute video that provided an overview of the conflict in Darfur. A handout was distributed that had some facts as well.
